After last week's harrowing journey into "Hereditary," we decided to lighten it up a little this week with the 1988 horror-adjacent comedy "Beetlejuice." One note: we had mentioned making this a kid-friendly (no swearing episode) but...we did not. Sorry, it's explicit. Special topics for your consideration include: Pittsburgh (and national) treasure Michael Keaton, utilizing this film's therapeutic qualities, questionable Halloween costume ideas, "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," consequences for being a grosso and a shocking discovery about the screenwriter of this movie.

Yinz into Tim Burton? Somehow we've only managed to do one other film of his: Episode 106- "Sleepy Hollow." Into Geena Davis?? Check out Episode 103- "The Fly."

We've got some stuff to promote this week! First, our sponsor, Squamous Studios-- a design and art studio who create super cool tabletop RPGs, particularly in the horror genre. They'll be running a Kickstarter for their newest game, Arkham Relics Hunt, beginning May 2nd. Go see what they are doing at www.squamousstudios.com

Also, wanna see us live? You can catch us at Rate/Review/Subscribe/Imbibe on May 7th, 7pm at Spirit in Pittsburgh. We'll be celebrating the first anniversary of our pals, the Ghoul on Ghoul podcast. They are throwing a party with a bunch of rad PGH podcasts to celebrate, plus dancing with DJ MB of In Bed by Ten Dance Party, a local maker raffle, tarot readings, and more!

Oh EMTs. Are you ready for this week's episode? We watched the 2018 gutwrencher "Hereditary" and lived to tell the tale. Special topics for your consideration include: an extreme bummer of a film, thoughts on extraterrestrial existence, family traumas, particular opinions on Robin Williams and further, the Jumanji franchise and some fun interludes to break up the sadness.

Do you love Toni Collette? Check out some of her horror catalog: Episode 61- "Krampus," Episode 157- "The Sixth Sense" and Episode 220- "Velvet Buzzsaw."

This week we're rejoined by a previous guest: our pal/husband and yours (but not really your husband, that would be weird), Rob! He's here to discuss his pick which has been given the dubious distinction of being the second worst Civil War movie of all time: 1982's "Curse of the Cannibal Confederates." It's free on Amazon if you're a Prime subscriber.

Special topics for your consideration include: the season in which this film is set (WHICH IS IT? No one knows), Baltimore accents, having a stealing friend that you still hang out with, insensitive names and actual facts about the actual American Civil War.

Did you miss Rob's first appearance? You can catch him in Episode 15- "The Blair Witch Project."

We're not even going to ask you if you'd seen this one before because why would you have? But if you've seen it now, how mad at us are you? Let us know at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. You can also email us for our segment "MAILBAG!" at werewolfambulance@gmail.com and if you're feeling super generous, leave us an iTunes rating and review.

You guys, we are so excited for our annual April Fools Day episode where we talk about an absolutely bananas non-horror movie and by god, this year's movie is no exception. Special topics include...well, a lot of cocaine and what you can and can't do in Thailand. You have to listen to the episode to find out the rest.

Also...THIS CONCLAVE IS OVER!

Did you miss our previous years' April Fools episodes? Check them out: Episode 76- "Days of Thunder," Episode 128- "Over the Top," Episode 170- "Roadhouse" and even though it's not an April Fools episode, go ahead and listen to Episode 209- "Love Actually" anyway.

As always, thank you for humoring us and we love you guys. Hope you enjoy it. And as always, thank you to the exceptional Justin Gray (www.burntobuild.com) for the amazing updated logo for this episode.

In this week's episode, we get into one of the best (?) of the 90's slashers: "Urban Legend." Special topics for your consideration include: the halcyon days of snopes.com, bouncy bouncy hair, goth internet, hometown urban legends, 90s looks that didn't come back, 90s actors that didn't come back and doubtful literacy.

Big fan of 90s slashers? Check out some of our older episodes, like Episode 8- "I Know What You Did Last Summer," Episode 44- "Scream" and Episode 201- "Halloween: H20."

In this week's episode, we're watching a new 2019 Netflix release, "Velvet Buzzsaw." Special topics for your consideration include: the physique of Jake Gyllenhaal, the magic of Toni Collette, the constancy of John Malkovich, inappropriate nudity, outsider art and the Werewolf Ambulance podcast: a podcast for the people! We also take some listener questions and debate discussing a much-requested film.

Want to hear us talk about some other Netflix originals? Check out Episode 86- "Hush," Episode 154- "The Babysitter," Episode 161- "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives In the House" or Episode 211- "Bird Box."

This week we're joined by our pal Dave to talk about a movie of his choosing: the 1957 Roger Corman vehicle "Attach of the Crab Monsters." Special topics for your consideration include: desperately trying to remember what actually happens in this movie, weird birthday plans, a man named Beach Dickerson, the anatomy of crabs, the bizarre choices that form the plot of this film and 13-9 NEVER FORGET.

Into very weird movies of the 1950s and 60s? Please enjoy Episode 42- "Spider Baby," Episode 91- "The Last Man on Earth" or Episode 123- "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" or get into a good monster of the era with Episode 125- "Creature from the Black Lagoon."

In this week's episode, we're back to the Stephen King well with the 1983 film "Cujo." Special topics for your consideration include: a lot of "where do I know that actor from?", the very concept of being a local stud, baby name judgments, hot dads, all the grossness that the internet has to offer and a PSA about rabies.

We've done a ton of Stephen King movies, so please enjoy our episodes about Katie's favorites: Episode 21- "Creepshow," Episode 66- "Thinner," Episode 97- "IT" (the miniseries) and Episode 206- "Carrie."

In this week's episode, we watch one of the greats (Christopher Lee!) and a bunch of random bozos attempt to tell a story about werewolf cabals in the 1985 sequel "Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf." Special topics for your consideration include: questioning the organizational capabilities of werewolves as a whole, Eastern Europe/California (what's the difference?), actors: how do you get them?, what kind of intoxication will get you through this film and giggling (too much giggling??)

For this week's episode, you may also want to check out its predecessor, Episode 46- "The Howling," or some other terrible sequels: Episode 90- "Amityville II: The Possession," Episode 165- "Puppet Master II" or Episode 205- "Hellbound: Hellraiser II." OR, better yet, an absolutely excellent sequel: Episode 28- "Child's Play II."

AKA "I Don't Want to Be Born," AKA "Sharon's Baby" AKA like six other things, this week we're discussing the 1975 Joan Collins masterpiece "The Devil Within Her." Special topics for your consideration include: neglectful parenting, beautiful 70's decor, the understated cinematic performances of Donald Pleasence, the difficulties in making a film in which your villain is a newborn and Science Nun.

Please enjoy some of the other, better films that this film calls to mind: Episode 45- "Rosemary's Baby," Episode 77- "The Omen" and Episode 155- "The Exorcist."
