Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast

In this week's episode, we're talking about a terrifying and suspenseful look at the coming of the Antichrist. Just kidding, we're talking about "Damien: The Omen 2" from 1978. This movie is almost entirely about muddling through the doldrums of middle management. Other topics for your consideration include: rich people parties, actors we like from other things, Napoleon, fighting a crow, and bad corporate practices.

Did you like "The Omen"? So did we! It's Episode 77. Do you like Sylvia Sidney? She's Juno, the caseworker in Episode 225- "Beetlejuice." Big Lance Henriksen fan? PUMPKINHEAD, baby! It's Episode 57.

In this week's episode, we're concluding our pro wrestling rock block with the (barely) Mick Foley vehicle "12 Hour Shift." Special topics for your consideration include: playing a new WWA game that was created mostly for the use of its name, fancy shoes of the late 90s, a very serious question for morphine drinkers, David Arquette's crime compulsion, the best and most blasphemous places to eat your snack, and a very exciting announcement about our internet presence (www.werewolfambulance.com)!

Pro wrestling is cool. Check out Episode 80- "Predator" (Jesse Ventura), Episode 301- "Halloween" (Skywalker Nitron aka Tyler Mane in the Rob Zombie reimagining), Episode 311- "Girl on the Third Floor" (CM Punk), and Episode 404- "They Live" (Rowdy Roddy Piper).

In this week's episode, it's a listener pick! We're covering the 1988 'peak John Carpenter' film "They Live." Special topics for your consideration include: how far two fantastic leads can carry a film, the natural conclusion of the Reagan era, rull toothy faces, big ideas that leave some...unanswered questions, and our attempt to determine which actor has appeared in the most WWA movies without actually looking it up or doing any research or anything useful like that.

Interested in other 'peak JC'? Allen would have you believe that also includes Episode 79- "Prince of Darkness." You can also hear us discuss JC's other non-"Halloween" films in Episode 112- "Christine," Episode 129- "The Fog," Episode 142- "In the Mouth of Madness," and Episode 272- "Village of the Damned." We've also covered two of his action movies on our Patreon with "Big Trouble in Little China" and "Escape from New York" and I promise, you will not regret giving us your money with those ones.

In this week's episode, we're discussing the movie that everyone is talking about-- or at least, everyone was talking about a few weeks ago? Frankly that is a pretty quick turnaround for old folks like us. Regardless, it's the 2022 film "Barbarian." WE ARE SPOILING THIS MOVIE, ONLY LISTEN TO THE EPISODE IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT OR NEVER CARE TO SEE IT! Special topics for your consideration include: the delicate balance of creepy/hot, a not-very-flattering image of a region, weird house dreams, the vibe of Justin Long, the evergreen horror trope of useless cops, and the level to which we have desensitized ourselves to disturbing imagery. Whoops.

You can get more Justin Long (if that was a thing you ever wanted) in Episode 181- "Tusk." You can get more Bill SkarsgÄrd in the "It" series, Episodes 351 & 352. We've not seen Georgina Campbell in anything else, but here's to hoping we do!

Would you like to tell us about things we're wrong about, things we're right about, or whatever is on your mind? You can call 412-407-7025 and lay it on us.
