This week we decided to do a non-listener pick and discuss the 2014 vampire horror comedy "What We Do in the Shadows." Special topics for your consideration include: many vampire impressions (obvs), asking the Count to leave a party, our continued disdain for the concept of immortality, werewolves AND swearwolves and our new favorite food, basghetti.

I always forget when listing our vampire movies that we discussed "Bram Stoker's Dracula" with our pals Allison and John. Go listen to that one-- it's Episode 110.

This week's film was suggested to us by listener Vinyl Toy. Thanks, Vinyl Toy-- this movie is MADNESS. We're discussing the 1990 Alejandro Jodorowsky film "Santa Sangre." Special topics for your consideration include: WHY WOULD YOU PUT YOUR CHILDREN IN THIS MOVIE?, art for art's sake, pumpkin spice season, nonsense tolerance, scrummy vs. scrummy, the Argento factor and who is Kevin, my god, who is Kevin?

We have just one other movie to recommend you this week- Episode 6- "Alucarda." Just watch that movie/listen to that episode, please.

A big thanks to listener Jason P. for suggesting this bananas film: this week we're talking about the 1977 movie that IS DEFINITELY NOT A RIPOFF OF "JAWS," DON'T YOU WORRY, "Orca." Special topics for your consideration include: this movie is a ripoff of "Jaws," Bo Derek being off-brand, Whale Facts!: The Game, things one might miss while getting a snack, Richard Harris singing and a little "Baby Shark."

Do you like movies that are definitely, totally not meant to be "Jaws"? You should check out Episode 41- "The Last Shark."

Music used in this episode includes:
Richard Harris- "MacArthur Park"
"Baby Shark"

In this week's episode, we're discussing a film suggested by listener William TJ Bear: the 1988 teen slasher "Night of the Demons." Special topics for your consideration include: 90s Nickelodeon, questionable animal psychics, always being prepared to gouge the eyes, what the hell Linnea Quigley's deal is, deja viewing and a near-disaster during recording leads us to an unexpected revelation!

Do you like teen slashers? Check out some of our other episodes, such as 18- "Slumber Party Massacre," Episode 31- "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane," Episode 44- "Scream," Episode 95- "April Fools Day," Episode 99- "Final Destination, Episode 141- "Friday the 13th" and Episode 162- "Prom Night"-- and that's just a small sampling of young people being brutally murdered that we've discussed!
