Episode 112- Christine (1983)

After wayyy too many weeks spent pondering what was happening in cinema in the early 2000s, we've gone back to the 80s (and Stephen King and John Carpenter) with the boy-meets-car, boy-falls-in-love-with-car, car-ruins-boy's-life classic "Christine." Special topics for your consideration include: very serious discussions of science and philosophy, less serious discussions about mechanophilia, even LESS serious discussions about the series "Friday Night Lights" in which it is revealed we can't remember a damn thing about it, and Allen attempts to explain how drive-in movie theatres work, despite not actually knowing how drive-in movie theatres work. It's a goodie.

Do you like this movie? How do you feel it fits in the Carpenter oeuvre? Let us know in the comments at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. Special topics we'd like you to consider include: the usage of Urban Dictionary to figure out what anyone is talking about, famous people we've been told we resemble, things that are too gauche even for Pauly Shore, a great depiction of teenage awkwardness, being just a bit too quirky and that weird feeling where you're let down by expecting something to be shitty but it's just not shitty enough. There's gotta be a German word for that, right?

Hi EMTs, denne uken vi diskuterer en film om nazi-zombier! That means "this week we are discussing a movie about Nazi zombies" in Norwegian, or at least Google says it does. Anyway-- Norwegians, Nazis, zombies--that can mean only one thing: the 2009 film "Dead Snow." Special topics for your consideration include: whether or not European dudes are better than American dudes (spoiler alert: not really), fish mugging, being bummed if Hitler shows up, whether the ugly one ruined the Backstreet Boys and, in what is possibly our most tangent-laden episode to date, our hot takes on swimming in lakes, riding snowmobiles, pooping outdoors, being anywhere near snow, and more.

Hey, we also use this episode as an excuse to celebrate a milestone that you guys helped us achieve so: 1) thank you so, so much for your continued support and 2) sorry in advance that I (Katie) get a little drunk and yell-y in this one.

Let us know your thoughts on this episode on facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Instagram @werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance. Email us at werewolfambulance@gmail.com if you'd like--we love to hear from you.

Episode 91- The Last Man on Earth (1964)

In this week's episode, we are go back to a much-requested time period with the 1964 Vincent Price classic, "The Last Man on Earth." Special topics for your consideration include: whether or not Allen is tricking Katie into watching movies with Italians, Vincent Price's limitations in acting and also possibly parenting, awkward uses of modern slang, nerd rage, some gaming talk and terrible impressions of VP himself.

How do you feel about this movie? What's your favorite 60s horror film? Let us know at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Instagram @werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance.

Episode 90- Amityville II: The Possession (1982)

This week we're joined by our friend Samm to discuss her pick, the 1982 sequel-but-actually-a-prequel-but-actually-could-not-take-place-before-the-original-Amityville, "Amityville II: The Possession." Special topics for your consideration include: shit rooms, the even numbered films in a series, having to get pistol-whipped...again, things we didn't necessarily understand about the movie "Rocky," remaking "The Exorcist," more ghost-or-cat questions but now with the addition of angry dad and lots and lots of incest talk. Guys, we are so sorry about that part.

Have you seen this one? How do you feel about it and the entire "Amityville" series as a whole? Let us know at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Instagram @werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance. You can also email us at werewolfambulanc@gmail.com.

Episode 89- Queen of the Damned (2002)

In this week's episode, we make our triumphant return to the Year of Rage by hate-watching the 2002 Anne Rice nu-metal vampire movie "Queen of the Damned." Special topics for you to consider: what the motivations of any character in this movie actually are, nu metal and who even likes it??, the entirely stupid concept of a rock and roll vampire, how amazing Aaliyah is and why it takes her a full hour of this approximately 82 hour film to show up, and poor life decisions in college.

Tell us your thoughts on this one at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Instagram @werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance. Please also contribute to our "Mailbag!" segment at werewolfambulance@gmail.com.

Episode 87- The Faculty (1998)

This week we're returning to the 1990s because quite frankly, we just can't get enough lately! Join us as we discuss the 1998 sci-fi horror film "The Faculty." Things to consider include: the exceptional fashion of the 1990s, feeling left behind by popular culture once one reaches a particular age, whether or not this is actually a better version of "Scream," the actors in this movie that you know from a million other things, some love for the television sitcom 'Frasier' and this terrifying portrait of Edward Furlong that exists on Katie's cell phone: http://bit.ly/1YzzKv3

Special topics we'd like you to consider include: the possible side effects of Ecto-Cooler, Deep Purple vs. Kula Shaker vs. Simon & Garfunkel, the advantages of living in the city, survival plans for a home invasion and terrible accents from terrible television shows.

Episode 85- House on Haunted Hill (1999)

This week we're joined by our friend Ross to discuss his pick, the 1999 remake of "House on Haunted Hill." Special topics we'd like you to consider include: the misnomer of calling the setting a house, poor man's versions of other actors, the wonderful 90s combination of Lisa Loeb, Marilyn Manson and Sonya Blade, looking for trouble in the basement, questionable Academy Awards, tax implications and CHRIS KATTAN.

Episode 84- Demons (1985)

This week we're back to the Italian super-weird horror films of a few decades ago with the 1985 Lamberto Bava film, "Demons." Special topics of the week include: Allen losing his mind (as he predicted, in all fairness), the peak era of dirt bikes, plenty of sound effects, appropriate times to eat a stromboli, the hero of this film 'Zhorzge', crazy effects and of course, movie punks.

Episode 83- Paranormal Activity (2007)

Ghosts! Or demons! Or whatever! This week we're talking about the 2007 found footage film "Paranormal Activity." Special topics for your consideration include: high quality foley work, cats vs. ghosts: what's the difference?, a very Pittsburgh haunting, the majesty of "Foyle's War," why we're afraid of ghosts when we don't believe in them (part two) and how to make love songs better.

Have you seen this one? What about its many sequels? Tell us what you think at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Instagram @werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance. You can also email us at werewolfambulance@gmail.com if you'd like to be featured on a future edition of "Mailbag!"

Episode 82- Coraline (2009)

In this week's very special episode of Werewolf Ambulance, we put our usual potty mouths on hold and behaved in a very passably kid-friendly way to discuss the 2009 film "Coraline." Special topics include: what two childless people think that children probably like, these same childless people offering advice to children because we are exactly the kind of people from whom you would want your children to take advice, our amazement at the beauty of stop motion animation, jokes from the internet, drinking because of office jobs and the actual distressing scenes in this children's movie.

Have you seen this movie? Do you/your kids like it? Tell us what you think at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. Also, feel free to email us at werewolfambulance@gmail.com and you might hear yourself on a future edition of "Mailbag!"

Episode 81- Saw (2004)

Well, we had to do it sometime. In this week's episode we're discussing the 2004 granddaddy of grisly 'what would you do?' movies, "Saw." Special topics for you to consider include: several people who are wonderful but specifically Danny Glover and reggae fusion artist Shaggy, terrible parenting, possible career paths that Jigsaw could have explored, bad accents, whether or not "Saw" is actually just kind of a bunko "Se7en," things that could have gone wrong that would have foiled this entire film's plot and the return of "Mailbag!"

What are your thoughts on "Saw"? Did you like it? Did you like any of the sequels? Are you secretly (or not-so-secretly) a huge fan of yuck-out torture horror? Episode 80- Predator (1987)

This week we're joined by our pal Justin Gray to discuss his pick, the 1987 action/sci-fi/horror(??) favorite "Predator." Special topics for your consideration include: gubernatorial candidates we would get behind from the cast of this movie, whether or not there is actually a plot to "Predator", very uncomfortable jokes, terrible impressions, the 12-year-old-boy vibe and of course, GET TO THE CHOPPAAAAA!! This episode also marks the introduction of a new segment on Werewolf Ambulance, "Mailbag!"

Special topics for you to consider include: the types of things that might appear on Carpenter's rider, how quantum physics actually work and whether or not they were considered in the making of this film, 80's fashion and the unflattering look of so many slacks, how far a good mustache can take a man in his life, Satan and also Big Satan, and Y2K.

Episode 74- Pay the Ghost (2015)

This week we're returning to our collective pool of rage to discuss the 2015 previously unheard-of Nicolas Cage film "Pay the Ghost." Why was is previously unheard of? Because it is bad. It is very bad. Special topics of conversation include: way too much discussion of the anatomy of Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation, mushing a bunch of movies together, all of the financial woes of one Nicolas Cage, what happens when a person who doesn't really like horror movies tries to make a horror movie, pretty German ladies and LORIIIIII!

We sort of feel like it's a dumb question to ask you if you've seen this one--of course you haven't, why would you? More importantly, why did we??-- but on the off chance you Netflix'd into it...what do you think of it? If not, what's your favorite Nic Cage role? Wouldst thou like to live deliciously? Well, now you can do it on a budget with the Arby's 5 for $5! There's no better deal in fast food. Seriously though, have you seen "The Witch" yet? If not, don't listen to this episode. Don't do it to yourself, because we super-spoil it. For those of you who have seen it, some special topics of consideration include: how humor is created (repeating a joke ad infinitum is probably the best way), starting a cult of Werewolf Ambulance, more beatboxing, people being confounded by both pop culture and the endless annoyances of having to see a movie in public with other humans, and SPOILERS, you guys, spoilers, we don't wanna hear about it, we warned you!

This week we're discussing the absolutely bananas 2013 high school horror film "All Cheerleaders Die," which is currently available on Netflix streaming if you've not yet seen it, and you should really see it before you listen to this episode. Special topics for discussion include: the fact that high school is still the worst, whether or not people have actual abs, the impracticality of pleather, bizarre love triangles, wishing for a Pumpkinhead, hilariously falling into animal traps, freezerboxes and feeling very strange and conflicted about this movie.

Have you see this one? What do you think? Did you feel as weirdly up and down as we did? Let us know at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Instagram @werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance. Also, if you liked this episode, tell a friend! Help us grow our Werewolf Ambulance universe!

Special topics to consider include: misconceptions about who is actually in this movie, the plot of the film "Pearl Harbor," Oreos and their myriad of flavors, the healing powers of alcohol, uncomfortably watching this movie on a plane, the concept of actually living in Alaska (apologies to our Alaskan listeners, you are tougher than we are by about a million) and THE UTILIDOR: what in the world is it??

This week we're finding as many things to discuss as possible that are not our movie of the week, the 2001 supernatural horror film "Thir13en Ghosts." Special topics for your consideration include: the undeniable acting chops of Antonio from "Wings" (the ever-delightful Tony Shaloub), our reluctance to do research for any reason, not really caring about your kids, a treatise in defense of Matthew Lillard, not even being able to smile convincingly, and we are also introducing a new and surprising sponsor to this week's show!

Special topics of consideration include: the most wonderful time of the year (Halloween, obviously) and all the joys that go along with it, such as homemade costumery and CANDY, a variety of comic book movies, whether or not Charlie Brown is actually an asshole, more child murders (so many child murders!!) and a little Tim Curry for you, because we love you and you deserve it.

Episode 67- Phantasm (1979)

In this week's episode, we get deep into some dream logic with the dream-like 1979 horror film "Phantasm." Special topics of conversation include: whether or not anyone can pull off Reggie Bannister's hair, being "Phantasm-good" at acting, trying out one's new peeper, the lack of work on the part of the folks who came up with the He-Man characters' names and asking a lot of questions that begin with "but why...?"

If you're a new listener and you like what you hear, tell your friends! Please also tell us your thoughts on this movie, this episode, Jody's acting chops or whatever's on your mind at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Instagram @werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance.

In this episode (a temporary deviation from our Year of Rage campaign) we are joined by our friend Jason to discuss his favorite movie, the 1979 Ridley Scott scifi horror classic "Alien." Special topics for your consideration include: liking vs. disliking space as a concept, writing a new movie called "Star Beast", quadruplet cats, amazing practical effects, jerking it to breakfast, the best movie monsters ever created and Jason's "Alien" fanaticism.

Let us know what you think about this movie, this episode, any other movie you'd like us to discuss or whatever else may be on your mind at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. We love to hear from you guys!

Special topics for your consideration include: the haircut known as a "butt cut", this ridiculous script, more IRB issues with psychological studies, 1999 CGI: wet, the majesty of Shirley Jackson, being victorious or being Virginia Madsen, what the fuck Liam Neeson is doing in this movie and "Speed 2: Cruise Control."

Happy new year, EMTs! We hope you are going to have a wonderful 2016 and would like to kick it off with a recent found footage horror film, "The Taking of Deborah Logan" from 2014. In this episode, we discuss some very important issues such as what it actually takes to become a doctor, robo-tripping and accidental whip-its, elder abuse, being a snake person and what that actually means for you, deserving to watch someone's death, and telling a snake to go fuck itself.
