Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast

In this week's episode, we're celebrating the birthday of one of your best friends and mine- Allen. Since we can't talk about "The Thing" without having to end the show (it has been prophesied), he picked the next best thing for him: the 1966 Don Knotts film "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken." Special topics for your consideration include: numerology and the angels, Morgantown tourism tips, a newfound appreciation for spooky ragtime music, when a naive film sounds actually very dirty, Bon Ami and a lot of Scooby Doo talk.

Do you enjoy films of the 1960s? Check out Episode 42- "Spider Baby," Episode 45- "Rosemary's Baby," Episode 91- "The Last Man on Earth" and Episode 123- "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?"

Hey, you may have noticed our new theme music! Super special thanks to Aaron "Toxic" Mortimer for making it for us-- if you enjoy that, you can find his SoundCloud at https://soundcloud.com/toxic_dsm or contact him on Facebook (ToxicDSM) or Instagram (toxic_dsm).

And if you just can't get enough of us, you can get our faces printed on a t-shirt, throw pillow and more at www.teepublic.com/user/werewolfambulance. If our faces aren't doing it for you, may we suggest Brian from "Wings"??

Hi EMTs! We thought that, while we're sheltering-in-place, we might as well watch some movies and record a few bonus episodes for you. We hope you enjoy our first foray into recording ourselves remotely with the 1985 children's (?!) film "Return to Oz." Special topics for your consideration include: an outright celebration of Fairuza Balk, what happens when you decide that the Scarecrow, the Tinman and the Cowardly Lion are an afterthought, one of the scariest horror movies we've ever seen and whether or not Dorothy is the actual villain of this movie. Oh and by the way- it was Fritz the Cat, not Felix the Cat, that Allen was talking about.

Hey, we hope you're all as well as you can be during this low point. Hopefully there is still some fun to be had-- take care of yourselves, friends.

In this week's episode, we are discussing the 2010 film "Black Death" but please be assured that we did not glibly choose this movie; we picked it back in February to be the final installment of our month of folk horror and the actual episode has been recorded for a couple weeks. So, not ill-intentioned but certainly ill-timed. That said, let's make the best of it. Special topics for your consideration include: a deep and abiding knowledge of both British crime drama actors and the finances of 50 Cent, the current level of dopeness of our haircuts, what this movie is trying to be and does that make sense and also hey was this written by a 12 year old boy?, and Sean Bean: will he survive? (lol)

Did you miss the first appearance of the Bean on Werewolf Ambulance? He's in Episode 111- "Silent Hill." Do you like recognizing British actors? How about Episode 131- "Hot Fuzz" or Episode 160- "Shaun of the Dead"? Or maybe you're just into medieval times, in which case you could either listen to Episode 229- "Army of Darkness." MEDIEVAL TIIIIIIMES!

Hi EMTs. First of all, we'd like to say that we hope you are all well and healthy, both physically and emotionally, in this worrisome and trying time. We are here with you. Second, we hope that you can get a break from the real world with us for 45ish minutes today and it's our absolute privilege to be able to do that. Third, good lord, this movie is a disaster. This week we're talking about the 1995 John Carpenter remake, "Village of the Damned."

Special topics for your consideration include: when it is okay to correct us (when we're actually wrong, obvs!), Buck Flowers and an utterly hilarious death scene, a celebration of Kirstie Alley, poor hair decisions, mixing Superman and Luke Skywalker and getting a stew of garbage and finally, Baby Baby Boomers.

Hey, you may have noticed our new theme music! Super special thanks to Aaron "Toxic" Mortimer for making it for us!

Want to hear us talk about some of John Carpenter's other...uh...well, somewhat-less-than-classic films? You may enjoy Episode 79- "Prince of Darkness," Episode 112- "Christine," Episode 129- "The Fog" and Episode 142- "In the Mouth of Madness."

And if you just can't get enough of us, you can get our faces printed on a t-shirt, throw pillow and more at www.teepublic.com/user/werewolfambulance. If our faces aren't doing it for you, may we suggest Brian from "Wings"??

In this week's episode, we're tentatively easing back into the story of "The Wicker Man" with the original 1973 film starring the one, the only, Christopher Lee. Special topics for your consideration include: expectations for Christopher Lee's hair, expectations for the wig that your butt double is wearing, a hearty discussion about Easter candy, talking serious about bathroom time, the problem with eating wings and the fact that this movie *might* be a musical...?

Did you miss our episode about the absolutely bananas Nic Cage remake of this film from 2006? We got you covered, it's Episode 108.

This week we're kicking off our solstice celebration and a month of folk horror movies with the 2019 Ari Aster film "Midsommar." Special topics for your consideration include: the true horrors of the world, a scale of how attractive one must be to get away with terrible behavior, crappy academics, beautiful cinematography and cartoon mallets.

Did you miss our first Ari Aster film? Check out Episode 224- "Hereditary." Do you just really like terrible male partners? How about Episode 44- "Scream," Episode 45- "Rosemary's Baby" or Episode 54- "The Shining?"
